Sylvia Keester is a resident of the Goon Docks and the owner of the local convenience store, the Stop 'N Snack.
Involvement[]
As the Goonies made their escape from Brand to go search for One-Eyed Willy's treasure, they first made a stop at the Stop 'N Snack to buy some supplies. While there, Sylvia asked Data if he could fix her broken cash register, offering him 3 candy bars in exchange, but Data refused and stated that his usual fee is $5.00, no exceptions. This led to an argument between the two as Data started fiddling with the cash register, but they were soon interrupted by the sudden arrival of Troy Perkins who caused a ruckus in the store as he bullied the Goonies. Fortunately Brand arrived just in time, giving the Goonies the chance to escape as Sylvia watched on.[1][2]
Behind the scenes[]
Sylvia is a character cut from The Goonies who appeared in the film's original script by Chris Columbus but was cut from the final version due to time constraints, but her scene was filmed and later featured in the collection of deleted scenes in DVD releases.
