Grandpa is the grandfather of Mikey Walsh and the father of either Irving Walsh or Irene Walsh.
Involvement[]
According to Mikey, Grandpa used to live somewhere else near a water park called "All Wet" but was forced to move in with his family at some point.
While the Goonies were causing a ruckus by breaking Mrs. Walsh's statue and scouring through the attic, Grandpa had been peacefully sleeping in his hammock, completely oblivious to what his grandson and the other Goonies were up to as he dreamed about 'Ziegfeld's Follies or something'. Shortly after the Goonies found the map to One-Eyed Willy's treasure, they tied up Brand and made their escape. As they left Brand tied up, Mikey warned his friends not to wake his grandpa before leaving the house, but Mouth, ever being a nuisance, casually shoved Grandpa out of his hammock as they ran out of the house before Grandpa saw them who still remained fast asleep.[1]

Grandpa is a character cut from The Goonies who appeared in the film's original script by Chris Columbus but was cut from the final version due to time constraints, not even having a chance to have his scene filmed.
